Funny, ancient and innovative maps will all be on display in a new exhibition at Hill Memorial Library beginning March 23. “Mariners, Meridians and Monsters: Exploring the History of Maps in Fact and Fiction,” part of LSU Special Collections, explores maps of the present and past, according to a University news release. Featuring early maps of the Pacific, archeological maps from Napoleon’s expedition to Egypt, maps based on mythology and even humorous maps, the exhibition runs through Aug. 15. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. —-Contact Kyle Bove at [email protected]
