The Robert S. Reich School of Landscape Architecture recently announced its efforts to rebuild and improve the public parks in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward.
Students will be joined by various community organizations, professional landscape architects and the landscape architecture school from the University of Colorado in a collaborative project known as Community Beyond Housing.
A three-day design workshop will be held today through Friday. And the public is invited to attend “A Lower Ninth Ward Celebration of the Land from the River to the Bayou” – a gathering which will include free crawfish, plants and live music tomorrow at the Lower Ninth Ward Village, 1001 Charbonnet St., New Orleans, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
