The University College of Art and Design and the University Museum of Art will work in conjunction with the Classical Institute of the South and the Historic New Orleans Collection among other organizations to present a symposium focused on classical traditions of Louisiana architecture.The symposium will be held on April 2 and 3 at the Historic New Orleans Collection in New Orleans, the Manship Theater of the Shaw Center for the Arts in Baton Rouge and the grounds of Rosedown and Wakefield Plantations in St. Francisville.Guest speakers in Baton Rouge will include Michael K. Brown, curator of the Bayou Bend Collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston at 2 p.m. on April 2 and Matthew A.
