The LSU Student Union Art Gallery Committee announced Monday the grand prize winner of the 2009 20″x20″x20″: National Compact Competition was Peggy Wyman.
Wyman won $1,500 cash prize for her fiber sculpture called “Wayward Wind.” Second place prize for $1,000 was awarded to William DePauw, and third place prize for $750 went to Scott Reed.
The competition featuring 51 artists from 19 states can be viewed in the Student Union’s art gallery from April 17 through May 15. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
