AgCenter’s Orleans Parish chairwoman Bertina McGhee has worked for the last ten years to gain the support of the city of New Orleans, and now her efforts have finally paid off.
The New Orleans City Council decided last month it will contribute to the AgCenter for the first time since the 1980s.
Orleans Parish is the last parish in the state to contribute money to the AgCenter. All of the other 64 parishes have been contributing. —-Contact Matthew Barnidge at [email protected]
