Concerns about the University’s specifications for the new bus system prompted the University to extend deadline for prospective bidders to April 21, nearly a month later than the original deadline.
Gary Graham, Office of Parking, Traffic and Transportation director, said the articulated bus was taken out of the specifications after several bidders expressed concerns over the cost of maintaining an articulated bus at a pre-bid meeting. The University extended the deadline to give bidders more time to go over the reconfigured specifications.
