NEW ORLEANS – Sandy Rosenthal, director of Levees.org, stood before a crowd of about 60 New Orleans residents this morning in front of the LSU Health Science Center to lead a protest of the University’s firing of professor and scientist Ivor van Heerden.
“It’s a sad day for people across the nation,” Rosenthal said. “America has lost a key research component in flooding prepardeness.”
