The hearing to decide if Chelsea’s will temporally become a restaurant only establishment is set this morning for 8:30 a.m. Downtown at the East Baton Rouge Parish government building.
A Web site titled “I love Chelseas” invited students and Baton Rouge residents to attend the hearing located in Judge Trudy White’s court room to show support for the establishment.
Chelsea’s is operating under a temporary injunction to stop the state’s office of Alcohol and Control from pulling their liquor license, according to the Web site.
In January, Chelsea’s owner Dave Remmetter was charged with a $2,000 fine and a one-year suspension of his establishment’s license unless he met the state’s conditions to receive a re-zoning change or apply for a parish restaurant license.
