The No. 18 LSU softball team outhit No. 1 Florida by a five to four margin but failed to score in a 3-0 shutout loss to the Gators.The Tigers (27-11-1, 10-7-1) gave up two runs in the game’s first inning and allowed another in the fourth. LSU had a chance to tie the game in the seventh inning but sophomore third baseman Jessica Mouse fouled out to end the contest.Junior pitcher Cody Trahan (6-4) got the loss for the Tigers after allowing all three earned runs and a first inning home run.The Gators improve to 44-3 and 21-1 in conference play.
