LSU football coach Les Miles says House Bill 27 – a proposal that would allow the concealed carry of firearms on college campuses – is a bad idea. “To allow firearms on campus would be to introduce an element of risk that could compromise all that is good about a university setting,” Miles told the Baton Rouge Business Report on Tuesday. Miles isn’t alone in his opposition to Rep. Ernest Wooton’s controversial bill. All four university systems presidents and members of the Board of Regents have opposed it as well.
