Full-time faculty above the rank of instructor will be offered $2,000 stipends through the Center for Community Engagement, Learning and Leadership, according to a University news release.
The Faculty Scholars Program targets faculty who are “interested in experiential education and effective strategies for engaging students,” and the deadline for proposals is Jan. 22.
Those selected will attend weekly 90-minute seminars where they will develop a service-learning course syllabus for summer 2010, fall 2010 and spring 2011.
