BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — One person has been arrested and 25 others were issued citations after alcohol was found on a party bus transporting students to a homecoming dance at St. Amant High School.
Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies say they received an anonymous tip that alcohol was being consumed on the bus Saturday night. Chief Deputy Tony Bacala says deputies and school administrators found “a very large quantity of alcohol onboard.”
The bus was operated by a company called Boogie Bus, USA, located in Baton Rouge. The driver was booked with contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and was released on bond. Owner Chip Estopinal says his driver is not a chaperone, and parents should be responsible for what their children bring with them.
