Baton Rouge will hold its first Green Crawl tonight at 5 p.m. to promote the city’s green resources, developments and businesses.
Participants will follow a predetermined path through Baton Rouge with stops at businesses promoting green living along the way at this free event.
Participants will be given a “passport” to travel the crawl and will be stamped at each stop.
The event path will end at Chelsea’s Cafe where participants can turn in their “passports” to receive free beer provided by Abita.
Prize drawings will be held for participants who visited each stop and for those who biked the path.
“The Green Crawl is trying to make Baton Rouge aware that green living is very possible,” said Josh Holder, Time Warp manager. “The businesses are showing people that there are easy ways they can buy green instead of just convenient.”
