Last Thursday, the Board of Supervisors assembled for a meeting regarding the budget for next semester.

The board has multiple plans beginning in 2010 to deal with the$ 70 million decrease in state funding.

This includes a five percent decrease in health care and lack of funds for LSU facilities in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

Costly projects and a small budget, make the Board’s positive plan seem like one with little future.

Despite budget woes, the board fights to continue improving and renovating LSU.
