Major Helen Haire, LSU Police Department spokeswoman, said police issued 71 summons for minors in possession at Saturday’s game against ULL.
Haire said the close location to the rival university caused an influx in underage tailgaters. There were also larger groups of students, so police issued five or six MIPs at one time as opposed to one or two at the first home game.
