LSU senior middle blocker Brittnee Cooper was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after her performance in the Shamrock Invitational in South Bend, Ind. this past weekend. This is Cooper’s second weekly award, who also earned SEC Player of the Week in her sophomore season. The Houston native had 1.54 blocker per set in the tournament, including 12 blocks Saturday against Denver in the Tigers’ five set victory.
