As students think about graduation with the added stress of the the country’s unemployment rate hitting 7.2 percent in December, there may be a bright spot in Baton Rouge for finding jobs.
In response, Baton Rouge Area Chambers has started a campaign called “Back to Baton Rouge,” which encourages alumni in states such as Texas and Georgia to return to Baton Rouge to work.
“We are doing extremely well compared to the rest of the country,” said BRAC Chief Executive Adam Knapp in reference to openings in jobs in the area.
