LSU’s midweek matchup against the University of San Diego has been canceled because of weather conditions.
There will not be a makeup game between the two teams, but LSU will look to find another opponent to play later on in the year.
LSU (9-3) was set to start freshman pitcher Zach Hess in his third start as a Tiger. Hess has an ERA of 2.53 and won his second start against Hofstra on February 22.
Coach Paul Mainieri said Hess will still pitch tomorrow night when the team travels to Lake Charles to take on McNeese State.
“Zach Hess will start tomorrow night,” Mainieri said. “He was going to start whether it was Tuesday or Wednesday.”
