Junior pitcher Alex Lange pitched a complete game for the second straight weekend, and dominated the Auburn lineup.
Lange surrendered no runs on five hits, and threw nine strikeouts on 118 pitches.
He was helped offensively by senior shortstop Kramer Robertson, who crossed home plate twice, and sophomore outfielder Antoine Duplantis, who had two hits and a RBI.
The Tigers scored four runs in the first two innings, and quickly chased former LSU pitcher Andrew Mitchell off the mound after two innings.
The four runs were enough for Lange, who is the first LSU pitcher to throw back-to-back complete games since Aaron Nola in 2013. Lange is now on a 16 ⅓ inning scoreless inning streak.
The 4-0 win puts LSU(33-17) in position to win the series against Auburn on Friday.
Senior pitcher Jared Poche is scheduled to take the mound in game two for the Tigers at 7 p.m. in Alex Box.
