Reggie’s bar in Tigerland posted a statement on its social media accounts Sunday, apologizing after photos of cups emblazoned with the Confederate flag and an apparent noose circulated on social media.
In its statement, the bar said the rope usually held a beer barrel, but often was in the way of the bartenders. Reggie’s said the cups were old and were stored away “after realizing they were offensive to some.”
