LSU Board of Supervisors will vote to approve several contracts of LSU football coaches next Friday.
A new three-year contract for strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt that will pay him $400,000 is proposed, according to the Board of Supervisors agenda.
Moffitt’s previous contract paid him $320,000 and was set to expire on March 31.
The Board is also set to approve the contracts of LSU’s offensive and defensive coordinators.
Contract details for new LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada show that the play caller is set to receive a three-year $1.5 million contract.
Canada comes from Pittsburgh where the Panthers were No. 10 in the country in scoring points per game and averaged 447 total yards of offense per game.
The 45-year-old coach was named a Broyles award finalist last season, which is given to the country’s top assistant.
LSU’s previous offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, earned $1.2 million a year.
LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda new contract includes a 44 percent raise from his original three year $1.25 million dollar deal. Aranda’s new contract will now pay him $1.8 million.
Under Aranda’s watch, LSU’s defense only allowed 16 touchdowns, which was the fewest in the country.
