LSU football landed a commitment from four-star high school cornerback Havon Finney Jr. on Monday.
Finney was previously classified in the 2027 national recruiting class, where he was ranked the No. 1 cornerback. In March 2025, he reclassified to the 2026 class, where he is now ranked the No. 7 cornerback in America.
Finney chose LSU over other schools like Arizona, Georgia and Florida State.
He measures in at 6 feet 2 inches and comes from Sierra Canyon High School in California.
In his freshman season he started every game for the No. 26 ranked high school in the country, according to MaxPreps.
He recorded one interception and 27 tackles in his first season but had a breakout sophomore campaign. In his second season he recorded 37 tackles, four interceptions and one forced fumble, while he also returned two punts for touchdowns.
Finney is the third defensive back LSU has landed in this recruiting class that now ranks No. 1 in the nation according to On3.
