As the countdown to the new year winds down, LSU and Notre Dame prepare to take the field one last time this season.
In a press conference on Sunday morning, LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron and Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly each discussed their team’s experiences in Orlando leading up to tomorrow’s bowl game.
Orgeron also expressed his confidence in junior running back Derrius Guice, who decided to play in the New Year’s bowl.
LSU seeks to keep its title as the returning champions after defeating Louisville 29-9 in last year’s Citrus Bowl.
In the last matchup between the Tigers and the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame defeated LSU 31-28 in the 2014 Music City Bowl.
Notre Dame is hoping to win its first New Year’s bowl game since 1994.
The Citrus Bowl will kickoff at 1 p.m. eastern time on Monday, January 1 on ABC.
