LSU Police Department officers have left the East Campus Apartments after investigating a possible gunshot, according to Sgt. Blake Tabor, LSUPD spokesman.
Tabor said several students reported hearing a loud noise, which some said sounded like a gunshot, burst tire or fireworks.
“At this point, we have no evidence that it was a gunshot,” Tabor said.
Officers had blocked off the building where a student said he or she heard gunshots, Tabor said. The officers are now gone.
