Headlining Friday night of New Orleans’ 2010 Voodoo Experience, Muse is nearly guaranteed to put on a show that’s not to be missed.
Having won piles of awards for Best Live Act, Muse puts on intricate performances well known for their unrestrained energy and perfect execution. Shows often include wild pyrotechnics and occasionally, a flying saucer.
This English rock band from the sleepy town of Teignmouth, Devon, has developed genre-busting tactics with a wide range of appeal, building their current stardom reputation and loyal following.
The band is made up of three members, guitarist and vocalist Matthew Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard. Since Muse’s creation in 1994, the band has managed to hold on to all of the original members. How many music groups can say the same?
Muse has released five studio and three live albums, and has played nearly 1,000 shows and concerts in 47 countries.
Their most recent album, “The Resistance,” topped the charts in 19 countries at its release.
Whether a lover or hater of Muse’s unpredictable and sometimes strange music, it would be wise for Voodoo-goers to attend their performance, even if only for the show.
