With warm temperatures fading and brisk breezes starting to blow, the University community has one more chance to experience “Hot Summer Nights and Cool Jazz.”
The College of Music and Dramatic Arts will perform an encore of the annual series Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7p.m. at the Fresh Market in Perkins Rowe, according to a University news release.
Fresh Market will also provide “fine wine and gourmet hors d’oeuvers,” and can get a 15-percent discount when buying wine then.
The $30 tickets per person benefit the College of Music and Dramatic Arts during a time of University-wide budget cuts.
“The event features some of the most talented jazz musicians in the state, such as newly appointed Interim LSU School of Music Director Willis Delony, Brian Shaw, Bill Grimes, Troy Davis and Brad Walker,” according to the release. “The piano used for the event will be provided by O’Neil’s House of Music.”
