LSU defeated Missouri 7-5 Sunday at The Box in a game that was preceded by a 62-minute weather delay.
After the game LSU Head Coach Paul Mainieri spoke to reporters about the game and laid out how his Tigers performed in each aspect of the game.
“Our pitching was phenomenal. We had a few clutch hits. Our baserunning was awful. And our defense was okay,” Mainieri said.
In regard to Mainieri’s comment about baserunning, he was referencing at least three poor baserunning decisions that may have cost LSU an extra run or two in the game.
However, Mainieri was satisfied with the game all in all.
“Overall, it was a good solid win,” Mainieri said.
