LSU Student Government announced Lil Dicky will be the headlining artist for Groovin’ 2018. The 29-year-old rapper and comedian is best known for his hit “$ave Dat Money,” which appeared on his studio album titled “Professional Rapper.”
The free event will take place in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on March 22 and is open to the public. There will be free drinks and food offered to the first 2,500 University students on the PMAC floor at 7:30 p.m. LSU’s official DJ, “DJ C-Mix,” will be playing music with his crew before the concert begins.
Every year, SG coordinates the concert funded by student fees and sponsor donations. Last year’s Groovin’ featured performances from pop star Kesha and folk singer Benjy Davis. Other notable performers from past concerts include Akon, One Republic, Weezer, Hunter Hayes, Ludacris and Wyclef Jean.
