Rock N Rowe continues this Thursday from 6-9 p.m. The event is free to the public and will feature Rusty Yates Band. Remember the Perkins Rowe Towne Center is being remodeled, so the event will be on the closed street from Barnes & Noble to Bin 77.
Both Gov’t Taco and The Rum House will celebrate National Taco Day with $2 taco specials.
LSU Student Union Art Gallery presents its newest exhibit, “History of Places,” featuring work from several University art graduate students. There will be an artists’ reception on Oct. 9.

Guests ages 21 and older are invited to the Baton Rouge Zoo for Brew at the Zoo. General admission begins at 7 p.m. and VIP admissions starts a 6 p.m. The event features food and beer tasting, live music and more. Tickets are required for entry, get them here: http://www.brzoobrew.org
KLSU is celebrating College Radio Day at Barcadia. The free event begins at 7 pm and features live bands, including Screaming Underwater (surf punk), Baby in the 90s (indie), Michael Armstead (hip hop) and Alabaster Stag (neo-soul). There’s a $5 KLSU batch drink, regular drink specials, professional photographers, a videographer and a photo booth. They’ll also be giving away three Voodoo wristbands!

Live After Five returned last week and will continue at City Hall Plaza from 5-8 p.m. This week’s genre is blues and features Walter Wolfman Washington and the Roadmasters + The Real School of Music.
Local jewelry makers Mimosa Handcrafted and Beneath the Bark are doing a treat yourself pop-up at Wanderlust by Abby from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be facials, manicures, massages, contour lessons, and mimosas and rose. The LSU Tigers take on the Florida Gators at 2:30 p.m. in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Bloom Music & Arts Festival will take place on the downtown levee grounds across from the Raising Cane’s River Center on Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 pre-sale or $15 at the gate. Get your tickets here and read our story on the festival here.

The 90s Bar Crawl is back! Be sure to get your tickets and register before 5 p.m. to have access to specials including a signature cup, koozie and slap bracelet, as well as drink specials at Happy’s and Bald Eagle Pub.
Every Saturday in October the LSU Agcenter Botanic Gardens hosts its annual corn maze accompanied by fall activities like hayrides, ziplining, face painting, a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating and more. Admission is $10 per person at the door. The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Mid City Ballroom, where all proceeds from the event benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Entry is a $30 donation and includes access to raffles, a silent auction, unlimited food, beer and live music. Purchase tickets here.
The Baton Rouge Arts Market will take place at the Farmer’s Market on Main and Fifth streets downtown from 8 a.m. to noon and features over 150 artists.
The LSU Hilltop Arboretum hosts its 35th annual PlantFest sale today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tomorrow from noon to 4 p.m.

LSU Soccer takes on the Mizzou Tigers at 1 p.m. at the LSU Soccer Complex.
The LSU Textile and Costume Museum will host a clothing sale with vintage and fashion apparel from noon to 4 p.m. at the Human Ecology Building.

The New Orleans Saints take on the Washington Redskins at 8:15 p.m. in the Superdome.

The LSU Jazz Showcase is at 7:30 p.m. in the LSU Student Union Theater. Tickets can be purchased here.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs and the LGBTQ+ Project are hosting an ice cream social in honor of National Coming Out Day from 4 to 6 p.m. at the African American Cultural Center.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs will host a talk series for Hispanic Heritage Month. Professor Solimar Otero will lecture at noon in the African American Cultural Center.
