A video posted to Twitter went viral after the LSU versus Georgia game of Breiden Fehoko, his father, and his brother doing the Haka, a traditional dance and chant for Maori warriors.
“It’s preparing the young man, the soldier, or the old warrior to go to war,” Fehoko said. “He’s saying phrases that either he is going to live or he is going to die. I’m gonna fight, I’m gonna scratch, I’m gonna claw for every breath I have.”
The traditional dance ends with the warrior sticking his tongue out. Fehoko explains that is a symbol to their opponent.
“It means I’m going to kill you,” Fehoko said as he chuckled.
The dance prepared Fehoko for the battle against Georgia Saturday.
