As the gates of the fair began to open, chairman and alumni of LSU, Cliff Barton, was already checking to make sure everything was running accordingly.
I was able to catch him for a ride around the grounds and ask him some questions about the history and organization of the event.
Furthermore, not many know that the money earned goes back to the community in various ways. For example, Barton explained that 26 students would be awarded a scholarship based on their volunteer work.
After talking to Barton, there was still much to see. From the amusement rides to drone racing, the fair definitely made everyone feel like a kid again.
