The University placed the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity on interim suspension last week for potentially violating the LSU Code of Student Conduct, according to a letter sent to the chapter.
LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard said the potential violations are “very serious.”
“We do not take violations of our Student Code of Conduct lightly, and the allegations against Pi Kappa Phi are very serious,” Ballard said. “We cannot go into specific details at this time, but the University will fully investigate the claims. If they are substantiated, then appropriate action will be taken.”
The fraternity was placed on interim suspension in November 2017 for a potential violation of the Student Code of Conduct. It is the second fraternity to be placed on suspension this semester after Delta Chi in August.
