Gov. Bobby Jindal has declared a state of emergency because of continuing severe weather in the state, according to a news release.
The state of emergency lasts through April 3 “unless terminated sooner,” according to the release.
Storms and tornadoes have heavily damaged parts of the state in recent days, including a tornado in Rayne that destroyed 120 homes Saturday, according to reports.
