The LSU softball team need14 innings, but junior first baseman Anissa Young’s walk-off home run gave the Tigers (23-12, 6-6) a 2-1 victory over No. 1 Alabama (37-3, 12-2).
Young opened the 14th inning with a deep shot over the right field wall to give the Tigers a one-run victory over the Crimson Tide.
Junior pitcher Brittany Mack went the distance, going 14 innings and allowing just one run on 8 hits. Mack struck out 14 in the victory.
