The University School of Veterinary Medicine is dealing with a small water leak that is unrelated to the potential Mississippi River flood.
Ginger Guttner, the public relations coordinator for the Vet School, said water has trickled into a room in the Vet School, but the water has nothing to do with rising Mississippi River waters.
Guttner said the water leak is an annual occurrence and usually only affects a four-foot area in one room of the Vet School. Guttner said towels are being used to soak up the excess water.
Guttner said the Vet School is monitoring the rising waters in the Mississippi River, but not any more so than the rest of campus.
