After its most successful Southeastern Conference Championships in recent years, the LSU swimming team is sending six swimmers to the Bulldog Last Chance Meet this weekend.
The meet will give swimmers an opportunity to improve their times to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Seniors Hannes Heyl, Eric Zeller and James Meyers, sophomores Andrei Tuomola and Craig Hamilton and freshman Michael Saco will compete this weekend at the meet in Athens, Ga.
Athletes are looking to improve their time in the 200-yard medley relay, which placed fourth at SEC Championships.
They will also swim the 200-yard freestyle relay, which was disqualified in the finals of last weekend’s championships in Gainesville, Fla.
Hamilton will be the only swimmer in an individual event. He will swim the one-mile freestyle, in which he finished ninth at SEC Championships.
No Lady Tigers will compete in the meet.
