Leonard Fournette sat down with the media Wednesday in the lead-up to the LSU’s game against Florida, and as soon as he sat down, the questions about his NFL future came rolling in.
“Are you ready to call this your last game in Tiger Stadium?”
“I don’t know, that’s a hard decision,” Fournette said. “I love college, I love everything that it comes with. This is a decision I’m going to have to make with the team as a whole.”
Fournette reflected on his three years in Baton Rouge.
“Throughout my whole experience at LSU, since I first stepped foot on campus, it’s been exciting,” Fournette said. “The good, the bad, I enjoyed every bit of it.”
Fournette was asked about the possibility of playing the Sugar Bowl, and to (likely) end his career in his hometown of New Orleans.
“To end it where I’m from, and for all our fans to be there, that would be a tremendous feeling,” Fournette said.
When asked if he would be fit to play against Florida, he left no room for any doubt.
“Yeah.”
LSU’s game against Florida is scheduled for a noon kickoff. The game will be televised on SEC Network.
