Filing to run for the positions of Residence Hall Association president and vice president began Monday and will continue until Friday.
Full-time on-campus students who wish to file can pick up applications at room 106 in Grace King Hall.
Potential candidates must live on campus and have been enrolled as a full-time student in the fall and spring of 2004. They must have a 2.0 GPA and be in good standing with the University and the Department of Residential Life.
Anyone interested in running cannot be an employee of Residential Life — that includes being the resident assistant, senior resident assistant, graduate assistant or residential life coordinator.
Candidates are required to run on tickets with both a presidential and vice presidential candidate. Potential candidates will be disqualified if they do not file with a running mate.
Dave Dessauer, RHA commissioner of elections, said applications will be reviewed by KD Linkous, the RHA advisor, and himself to determine if candidates meet the qualifications.
Dessauer said that usually two to three tickets run for office and he does not know what to expect this year.
