In response to Hurricane Ivan’s impending arrival to the BatonRouge area, some campus facilities have adjusted their hours ofoperation or closed in response to the University’s decision toclose Wednesday and Thursday.
According to a press release from Contracted Auxiliary Services,students who have a campus meal plan can eat at the Highland DiningHall on the campus’ east side which will remain open Sept. 15 andSept. 16 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Union Side Pockets restaurantwill also remain open both days from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
All other University dining locations will be closed for theremainder of the campus’ closure.
Candice Tucker, a mass communication junior and student workerat the Student Recreation Center, said they will remain open until11 p.m. Tuesday, and will be open Wednesday from 5:45 a.m. to 9p.m. and from noon to 11 p.m. Thursday.
Tucker said organized student activities will resume once thecampus re-opens.
The library will be closed until Friday.
