East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested19-year-old Hunter Bock of 2452 Live Oak, St. Francisville, La.,Friday after he allegedly attacked a woman in Briarwood Estates inBaton Rouge.
Bock is listed on the PAWS online directory as a Universitystudent.
Mike Crawford, a public information officer with thesheriff’s office, said Bock was hiding behind thevictim’s car shortly after 7 a.m. Friday, when the victimwalked outside to her car.
Crawford said Bock jumped at her, pinning her against hercar.
But Crawford said she was able to fight him off and run into thehouse unharmed.
Officials believe Bock may have been carrying a knife.
Crawford said Bock followed the woman, but fled the scene afterthe victim warned him the police were on the way.
Crawford said he did not know the address of the incident or thename of the victim.
Crawford said officials received a tip about two hours laterfrom a neighbor who noticed a unfamiliar white truck parked nearthe entry to the subdivision.
Authorities said the truck belonged to Bock, and they called himinto the sheriff’s office for questioning.
Crawford said Bock admitted to being at the house Friday morningand wearing a ski mask.
An official at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison said Bock wasbooked in the parish prison Friday and charged with attemptedaggravated burglary and wearing a mask in a public area.
He was released on $6,000 bond Friday night.
Crawford said authorities will continue to question Bock onMonday.
When contacted Saturday night, Bock’s mother said herson’s arrest was “totally wrong,” but declinedfurther comment based on advice from her son’s attorney,Hillar Moore, III.
Moore said he could not comment on the incident.
The incident took place in the same neighborhood as PamKinamore, one of alleged serial killer Derrick Todd Lee’svictims.
