LSU was ranked as the No. 18 team in the country in the Week 2 AP Top 25 released on Tuesday.
The Tigers were bumped down five spots following its 27-20 loss to USC on Sunday night in Las Vegas. They went into Sunday’s matchup ranked No. 13.
USC moved up to No. 13 in the rankings, 10 spots from its previous No. 23 ranking going into the season.
Around the SEC, Georgia remains ranked No. 1 following its 34-3 win over Clemson to start the season. Texas and Alabama each moved up a spot to No. 3 and 4 respectively following shutout wins. Texas defeated Colorado State 52-0, and Alabama defeated Western Kentucky 63-0.
Ole Miss stayed at No. 6 after shutting out Furman 76-0.
Missouri moved up two spots and is now ranked No. 9 after a 51-0 win over Murray State. Tennessee moved up one spot and is ranked No. 14 after a 69-3 win over Chattanooga.
Oklahoma also moved up one spot to No. 16 after a 51-3 win over Temple.
Texas A&M dropped out of the AP Top 25 after falling to Notre Dame 23-13.
