Baton Rouge is bidding farewell to Pluckers Wing Bar, a staple of the local dining scene for over two decades. Both of the city’s Pluckers locations, the only franchised stores in operation, are closing permanently following renewal discussions and mounting economic challenges.  

In a statement, Pluckers emphasized its pride in serving the Baton Rouge community for 21 years and highlighted the strong connection the brand has built with its loyal customers. However, the decision to close came after extensive conversations with the franchisee about the rising costs of upgrades required for lease renewal.  

“Our focus has always been on providing the best environment for our guests,” the company noted. “While we are sad to end this chapter, we remain excited about the future of Pluckers and our continued expansion.”  

As news of the closures spreads, Baton Rouge residents are reflecting on the restaurant’s legacy and the countless memories created there. Community members eagerly await updates on what’s next for the beloved chain and how the spaces will be repurposed.
