BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU freshman Emily Lousteau has been named the Queen of the Krewe of Endymion for 2025.
The Honors College student comes from a family with a deep history in the Krewe. Her grandfather has been a member for 50 years, her father for 26 years, and both her mother and aunt previously rode as maids in the Endymion Parade.
“I was in kindergarten when they decided to put me on the list, so it’s been a long time coming,” Lousteau said.
As queen, the marketing major selected the 2025 Endymion King at the coronation ball in January and hosted her Queen’s Party over the weekend.
With final preparations underway, excitement is building as the parade returns to its original route, ending at the Caesars Superdome.
“I’m so excited to ride into the Dome. I’ve heard that is such an unforgettable experience,” Lousteau said. “I’ve talked to past maids and queens, and they’ve all said to just soak it all up.”
The Endymion Parade will roll at 4 p.m. on March 1 in Mid-City, New Orleans. The parade will feature 32,000 riders and 37 floats, with performances by Katy Perry and Train at the Endymion Extravaganza.
