LSU’s annual spring concert, Groovin 2025, will be held Thursday night, April 24, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, with New Orleans rapper Rob 49 set to headline the event.
The concert, organized by LSU Student Government, is a highlight of the spring semester and will also feature performances by Vickeelo as the opening act, with DJ T Money and Ha Sizzle providing pre-party entertainment to hype up the crowd.
Student Government Director of Student Entertainment Larsen Melton, who is coordinating Groovin for the first time this year, said the event showcases the energy and collaboration across all three SG branches.
“SG helps in all capacities to help enhance the college experience, and part of being a college student is having fun,” Melton said. “Part of being an LSU student is doing fun a little bit better than everyone else can.”
Groovin has previously featured nationally recognized performers including NLE Choppa and GloRilla. Melton said this year’s planning process has been “dynamic” in order to ensure all students have the best concert experience.
Tickets went on sale April 17 and are available through the LSU Student Government Instagram page, @lsu_sg. Attendance is limited to LSU students only. More information and concert regulations can also be found in SG’s Instagram bio.
