A widespread electricity outage took place on LSU’s campus Monday morning.
Power is incrementally coming back around campus. LSU’s Testing Center is fully operational and letting in new students after obtaining power around 12:20 a.m.
The university’s library is closed for the rest of the day due to the outage.
The power went out around 11:45 a.m., halting classes and testing.
“The University is actively investigating the cause of the disruption. We apologize for any inconvenience this interruption has caused,” Facility Services said in a statement.
Facility Services also said lab equipment and building temperatures may be affected by the outage.
This is a developing story.
