LSU Softball Head Coach Beth Torina spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the team’s first series of SEC play against Kentucky.
Torina began speaking on how the team’s message has been the same all year by keeping their play the same way they have been playing so far and to keep that mindset going into Kentucky.
As the team starts their first SEC play on Friday, Torina mentioned how Kentucky is their first and possibly their best opponent they will be facing in the regular season; however, the Tigers plan on taking care of business starting Friday.
“They’re gonna be one of the best teams we’ve played all year,” Torina said. “We’ve played some very good teams but this team from top to bottom, they’re gonna be one of the best teams we’ve played all long up to this point.”
“Where we’re at isn’t the end. It’s the beginning of a whole new season here, so finding a way to continue to challenge them is definitely on our lists of things. We really want them to play LSU softball the way they’ve been playing it the last three or four weeks. That’s been a balance of where we go with these next two practices.”
No. 4 LSU will face off against the Kentucky Wildcats at Tiger Park on Friday at 6:00p.m. CT.
