LSU Football is back in full bloom for Spring Practice again.
Garrett Nussmeier is working with a new receiver core with the addition of transfers Nic Anderson and Barion Brown. Anderson had 10 touchdowns and almost 800 yards last season. Brown, the transfer from Kentucky, 3,273 all-purpose yards in his time as a Wildcat so it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll do in the Purple and Gold.
But, let’s not forget about guys like Aaron Anderson and Chris Hilton Jr who Kelly says gives Nussmeier a lot of options this year. Hilton, who didn’t come into the picture until late last season is trying to get back into the groove. Aaron Anderson put up over 850 yards last season and could be a vital piece of this offense.
“It’s been really for me, much more about getting him as much work with that receiver crew,” Head Coach Brian Kelly said. “And getting on the same page and that seems to be coming.”
Though it’s still early days they are working towards building relationships with his new targets. Nuss and his new guys will have plenty of time to adjust before their season opener against Clemson.
