If you are in need of a new hobby or maybe just a better way to enjoy cardio, skateboarding might just be the right option for you.
Luckily to join Skate LSU you do not need any experience or equipment to begin, as they will lend you a hand with that.
Skate LSU opens their arms to anyone and everyone and makes sure to provide their club members with the equipment they might need.
But, how do they do this? You might ask.
The skate club hosts different fundraisers, like having the opportunity of putting up their own thrift shop located on free speech alley.
Where many club members had a part in and donated unwanted clothes to help increase the clubs funds.
From getting their boards on new ramps, to providing boards for members who do not have one, club members make sure to have what you need.
“Last semester and this semester we are finally able to, pretty consistently, provide decks for people who do not have the,” Vice President of Skate LSU Nicolas Avant said, “ a lot of people do come to the club not having a skateboard.”
If you are ever curious of seeing your skills on a board or even wanting to pick up a new pass time, checkout Skate LSU on Monday’s and Friday’s by the memorial tower, or follow them on Instagram, skatelsu.
