LSU men’s basketball program is changing leadership and hiring former Tiger Ronald Dupree as the general manager, according to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.
Dupree played at LSU from 1999-2003 and was an assistant there in 2014. He is also a six-year NBA veteran and served as an assistant at Nevada.
In 2021, Dupree became the Director of Global Scouting for the Milwaukee Bucks after serving as a scout for the Bucks organization.
After his NBA career, Dupree traveled overseas and played in Germany and Italy. He also played for a month in Argentina and eventually went on to Israel and Jerusalem.
Dupree averaged 13.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as a Tiger. They went to the NCAA Sweet 16 and won the conference championship in his freshman season.
He sits ninth in career scoring with 1,726 points and ninth in career rebounding with 907. He was an All-SEC selection each of the last three years at LSU.
Dupree returned to LSU to finish his degree and work in the Tigers’ basketball program.
