LSU dropped game three to Arkansas 7-4. Although the Tigers lost on Sunday, they take the series 2-1 against Arkansas.
Freshman Pitcher Casan Evans got the start and pitched through 3.2 innings and gave up four runs. Chase Shores came in for relief and ate up another three innings and only gave up one run.
Despite the loss Shores feels the team has great confidence as the post season nears.
“I think taking those first two games was huge for us,” Shores said. “And, you know, kind of just helps build more confidence coming down the homestretch.”
The Tigers will take on the Gamecocks in South Carolina as LSU wraps up the regular season. Game one is set for Thursday, May 15 at 6 p.m. CT inside Founders Park.
